시카고 한인회(KAAC)는 1962년에 처음 설립되었으며, 올해 창립 62주년을 맞이했습니다. 우리 시카고한인회의 성공은 36대를 이어오는 총 28분의 회장님들의 노고와 헌신, 그리고 시카고 지역의 모든 한인 동포들간의 단결을 위한 협력과 노력에 기인합니다.
그동안 시카고 한인회의 역할은 모든 한인들을 하나로 모으는 단체였습니다. 이는 1981년에 협회 건물을 취득한 것으로 입증되었습니다. 이는 많은 한인들 사이에서 자발적인 모금 운동을 통해 가능했습니다. 이는 미국 내 모든 도시를 통틀어 한인회 자체 건물을 취득한 첫 번째 사례였습니다.

Welcome to Korean American Association of Chicago
The Korean American Association of Chicago (KAAC) was originally established in 1962 and is now celebrating its 62nd year of founding. The success of our Korean American Association of Chicago is due to the hard work and dedication of 28 presidents spanning 36 generations, as well as the cooperation and efforts for unity among all Korean American compatriots in the Chicagoland area.
For the past 60 years, the Korean American Association of Chicago has been an organization that brings together all Korean Americans. This is evidenced by the acquisition of the association building in 1981, which was made possible through a grassroots fundraising effort among many Korean Americans. This was the first case of a Korean American association acquiring its own building among all cities in the United States.
And now, that unified strength of Korean Americans is being passed down, leading to a new milestone of acquiring a larger Korean American association building in the Korean American-heavy area and opening a bright future for the next generation.
The Korean American Association of Chicago is a consortium of all Korean American organizations and the representative body of 150,000 Korean Americans living in the state of Illinois. Its top priority is to promote and advocate for the rights of Korean Americans. In addition, it serves as a bridge between the Korean American community and the American mainstream, as well as between the current generation and the next generation, through cooperation with various organizations including large and small Korean American organizations, for-profit companies, and government agencies.
